It’s time for a new highway. It’s time for a new way of walking in your ministry, walking in your calling, walking in your purpose. It’s time for new heights and new depths. It’s time for a brand-new way of walking in me.
And I believe he is saying that to a number of you!
Sometimes we get so comfortable in things that feel safe that we are unwilling to try new routes. This could be an unhealthy relationship, trying a new food, allowing for that new friendship or partnership, going back to school…whatever! Simple or complex. God is saying it’s time to leave your comfort zone and be okay with the reroute.
Rerouting doesn’t necessarily mean that you have done anything wrong and it doesn’t mean you were doing
I have a tendency of making huge faith filled moves but holding onto [or finding ways to go back to] ways of comfort. Like carrying a security blanket in my new zone. This is not always going to work, matter of fact it can be a hindrance. Maybe some of you keep holding on to bits of comfort from the zone you just left. However, In order to learn to walk you have to learn to let go of the coffee table or couch. In order to learn to swim you have to let go of the side of the pool. Completely. Trust the unknown for a moment. You cannot have one foot in and one foot out. He needs you out of your comfort zone right now because he needs you to grow. He needs you to go on the highway that you’re not used to being on.
Have you ever been driving home engrossed in thought and next thing you know, you’ve reached your destination and barely know how you got there? When you already know what to expect your faith can’t be stretched. You no longer pay attention to your surroundings and lose vital opportunities to grow. Where God is trying to take you in this season is going to require some faith stretching. You can’t do that where you are. He is saying he needs you on a new path, new route, new highway. One that will cause you to become alert and open to his new revelation. One that will teach you new things, show you how to better overcome obstacles, and pay closer attention to him and even yourself. One that will lead you to the place you are supposed to be in your now so that you can become the person he desires you to be in your tomorrow!
It’s time for a new highway =) Please don’t be afraid of the reroute! There are some great revelations and blessings to be found!
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
