On the other hand it can cause one to desire to take another's life. This could be literal or the killing of one's character, integrity--their good name. In Proverbs 22 it tells us that a good name is better than riches. This direct attack on someone's livelihood stems from their fear of the greatness that lies within the other person.
Let me give you 3 examples:
In Exodus 1, the Pharaoh freaked out when he saw the Israelites growing at crazy rates and immediately set an ordinance to oppress them with forced labor so they wouldn't grow and escape from the land.
2. Balak
In Numbers 22-24 Balak (the King of Moab at the time) became afraid of the same Israelites. He saw their great numbers and didn't want for them to overpower his rule. So he hired Balaam to curse the entire people.
3. Scribes & Chief priests
In Mark 11 the scribes and chief priests feared Jesus because of how astonished all the people were at his teachings so they started to plot how they would destroy him.
The fear one encounters as they feel their territory is threatened can be destructive. But as a child of God, let me show you how your Father works:
The Israelites still grew at great numbers and God heard their cries and delivered them from Pharaoh's rule. King Balak was angry because The Lord wouldn't let Balaam curse his chosen people he ONLY allowed them to be blessed and to take over! And Jesus?! Well death couldn't hold him (Acts 2:24)! Jesus was raised up and exalted to the right hand of the Father!
There is greatness on you that will cause people who are not secure of who they are in God to rise up and pray and act against you. But it's okay. Because the same God that protected, delivered and resurrected the Israelites from Pharaoh and King Balak and Jesus from the hands of the fearful is the same God that will protect, deliver, and resurrect you! STAY in prayer and keep moving forward! Keep going! They may be praying against you, but it's okay! You're okay! You're covered in the blood. My prayers out to you!
If you are a child of God but noticed that you're acting more like Pharaoh, Balak, or the scribes and chief priests remember there is greatness within you as well. What's meant for you is for you. I promise although it may not look like it all the time there are plenty of resources for you to do what God called you to do and them to do what they've been called to do. Repent and turn back to the God in control of it all. Taking matters in your own hand will cause you to end up just as the three groups above...overpowered and defeated with nothing left!
