Why have we quit dreaming? What’s the hindrance? Are we fearful? Is it the lack of support? Do we feel that if dreams don’t surround the entertainment or sports industries then they don’t matter? Do you even dream anymore? You know we didn’t have to stop just because we turned 18 right? The gifts that were kindled when you were a kid playing make-believe or daydreaming—are those still there? How many times do you find yourself saying, “I wish I could just…but no back to reality”? Why? Why can’t that be your reality? Why do you have to live a life that’s not fulfilling the joy within? Why do you choose to live a life walking in someone else’s dream? For a paycheck? I know there is a gift within you that desires to be free. A gifted desire to be, create, allow, and bring forth greatness that could not be replicated or formulated without you! Recently I’ve heard many people tell their friends, significant others, or children that their dreams don’t matter. Not because they don’t believe in them but because the reality of everyday life calls for real life responsibility. But I want to tell you that your dreams do matter! You can still reach for them while you tend to your everyday life. You can make them your everyday life. Today I challenge you to write out three dreams you have had that you are not acting on. Then ask yourself why? Why haven’t you gone after it? What are you afraid to give up? Why? Why should you sit on your greatness? I’ve been encouraged by all of the dream catching that has been going on around me. It has inspired me to step into the shoes the Lord has picked out for me and inspires me to trust and love God so much more. I was driving home late Thursday night and *ping* got an idea. I want to add something to the website for the dream chasers and catchers! This section is dedicated to everyone who has decided to not only dream but go after them and actually live them. To chase them at all costs. To trust God with everything, even an inconsistent paycheck, and use their gifts to glorify the kingdom. It’s not as easy as it looks and I want to salute those that do. Starting with Johnny!
I met Revolutionary at a young adult concert in Orange County about two months ago. He had the difficult task of being one of the first acts up and having to seriously ‘pump up’ the crowd. (Praise and worship leaders know that this can be a true struggle). The two things that drew me into his set were seeing his love for ministry shine through his gift and seeing his desire to please God on that evening.
He just completed his new single and music video entitled: “You’ve Never Let Me Go” feat. Brenden McPeek. Go ahead and check it out by clicking here! Leave a comment and let him know what you think! Revolutionary I salute you! Thank you for trusting God and using your gifts to edify the kingdom! |
