Melanie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and owner of You Can Therapeutic Services, a private practice specializing in depression, anxiety, and abortion recovery. She has been working in the social work field for 10 years with children and their families but has found an even deeper calling in ministry!
Melanie received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age but did not “grow up” in the church. After leaving for college in 2002 Melanie sought community and family and found herself as a regular attending member of a church. This was a big deal! After many years of straddling both sides of the fence, in 2012, Melanie accepted her call to be different and follow the will of the Lord for her life. Working with women who have silently suffered from their abortion decision(s) or who are contemplating the decision is a passion for her and so in December of 2012 Melanie left her job as a clinical therapist in the Long Beach Unified schools to volunteer, write, and build a women’s ministry God placed in her heart. As founder of Truth Thru Truth Ministries (T3M), she is carrying God’s vision to transform and lead his children in restoration, revival, and renewal of self and purpose through educational resources and community experiences! Melanie has a vision to see every woman experience freedom and healing from their negative life experiences while finding purpose through a relationship with Christ. She believes that women who encounter T3M are already restored in their hope and purpose in Christ regardless of their past, revived, and ready for more positive ways of life, and renewed in their commitment and relationship with God. Melanie serves at The Neighborhood Church and is currently enrolled in Azusa Pacific Seminary in order to better deliver the word of truth to all God has blessed her with an opportunity to stand before. She gives all glory to God for her many blessings and the call entrusted to her! |
